Scope

Over the last few years, and particularly recently, news and enetrtainment areas have seen a signi cant shift in the way content is produced, consumed, and shared. For example, in many cases, news are generated and shared by users before they become available by official news sources. Traditional news providers increasingly depend on social media as an information source. In the entertainment domain, social media have been successfully used for promoting events, and sharing related experiences, and for prediction, among others. In addition, many traditional entertainment applications are becoming socialized, in the sense that new social media features are now part of their core (e.g., sharing of playlists or music listening, etc.).

We welcome contributions on various aspects of news and entertainment social media applications including papers on related theory, methodology, algorithms and issues. We also welcome position papers and interesting applications and demos.
